Jonathan Shaw’s career is defined by leadership, accountability, and a lifelong dedication to protecting people and the places they call home. With more than 25 years in law enforcement—including serving as Chief of Police and Emergency Manager—Jonathan built a reputation for precision, foresight, and trust. Today, he brings that same level of expertise to property and operations management, ensuring high-value communities remain safe, resilient, and prepared for the future.
Jonathan began his career in law enforcement in 1996 and has served at two separate police agencies. Over the years, he rose through the ranks with a focus on community policing, operational excellence, and strategic planning. From his early days as a Road Patrol Officer and Special Response Team Member to his leadership roles as Detective, Sergeant, and Bureau Commander, Jonathan consistently demonstrated a rare blend of tactical expertise and community-centered leadership. As a Captain and later Chief of Police, Jonathan commanded an accredited department of more than 150 sworn, civilian, part-time, and volunteer members. He oversaw every function of the department, including police operations, code enforcement, budgeting, and community relations. His ability to balance operational detail with long-term vision earned him recognition as an Officer of the Year in both his department and the State of Florida, awarded by Governor Rick Scott in 2013.

During his tenure as Chief of Police, Jonathan was responsible for managing a $22.3 million budget, acting as City Manager during periods of interim leave, and guiding the department through critical incidents as the designated Emergency Manager.
His leadership extended beyond policing into crisis response and municipal oversight, where his decisions had a direct impact on public safety and community resilience. Jonathan also represented his peers at the highest levels of professional organizations, serving as District Representative for
the Florida Police Chiefs Association and on the Executive Board of the Broward County Police Chiefs Association. These roles reinforced his belief in collaboration, accountability, and the importance of building strong relationships between public institutions and the communities they serve.
Jonathan’s philosophy is simple yet powerful: property management is about more than operations—it is about people. His experience in law enforcement taught him that every decision has real consequences for individuals, families, and communities. That perspective now drives his approach to property oversight.
